The Farm
The Child 44 trilogy (which I am just now finishi8ng) is AMAZING. So, I was excited to find out that Mr. Smith had written this book. I didn't know what to expect since the trilogy was complete.Right off the bat, I realized this book would be nothing like the trilogy. It took me a little while to get into the book which is more of a narrative. No action to speak of. This is a psychological tale that is quite captivating. Overall, I enjoyed the story even though the ending forces the reader to think about what might be coming - like a sequel? What Mr Smith has done is to show how he can write interesting tales without Leo Dimidov at the center.
