The author clearly has writing skills. The potential for a good novel is there but the author has chosen to write a treatise on inner conflict that left me wanting. There are a number of concurrent themes and lots in this book that I wanted resolution. I would have given a full 4 stars for that. Unfortunately, nothing has an ending and the reader is left saying WTF when all is said and done. I don't know if the next book in the trilogy will finalize anything. I will not be reading it to find out. I gave 2 stars because I did not enjoy the book after I was finished.
