I received this ebook from a LibraryThing giveaway for free in exchange for a review. My part of the bargain follows. To be perfectly clear, I would have left this same review even if I had paid for the ebook.

I have always enjoyed William Esmont's books so I jumped at the chance of getting this one from the Librarything giveaway. This story of the undead is no exception to the quality the author puts out. As I was reading this vampire genre book, I was considering a rating of 5 stars because I simply was enjoying it so much. The reason I rated it 4 stars is because the ending did not live up to the rest of the story. Yes there are ending elements that would fit nicely in the next installment of the series (which I will happily read) but it all seemed to quick of an ending given all that was happening in the book. All the subplots came together just to quickly and left me a bit wanting.

However, after reading this book, I realized that I have missed one of the first 3 in the series. So, I immediately went to Amazon and purchased it.
