This is the second Nicholas Marten novel by Allan Folsum. Unlike all his other 4 novels, this one is concise. Mr. Folsum has greatly reduced the wordiness of his other novels.
This novel continues the depth of intrigue that Mr. Folsum has shown in all his novels. I like how there are a series of joined subplots in each of his novels. That makes for a fast paced action story. Coupled with great characters, I find it difficult to put down.
This is my favorite of his five novels just a bit more believable than the Day after Tomorrow. I hope that he has at least one more novel in him even though he has earned the retirement he is due.
